WHY WE DO IT
In August of 2018, our mom, grandma, sister, aunt, daughter, Sandra Ledesma was diagnosed with breast cancer. This was devastating news. We started our Relay team Her Fight Is Our Fight in support of her. She encountered many setbacks which ultimately took her from us in early 2021. She was our rock, our mom, our everything.
The Sandra Ledesma Legacy Scholarship
Sandra was a campus supervisor at Orange Grove High in Corona. There she helped shape the students into fine young adults, not in the classroom but outside. Students told us that she was their momma bear and was always there to lend an ear and guide them through dilemmas. She had such a big heart and would do anything for the students. This scholarship was created to continue with her legacy and help kids who may not have any resources an opportunity to attend school after graduation.
